§ 1 Offering and Entering into the Contract for the Supply of Materials, Equipment and Décor pieces with SELECT Baubedarf und Handelsgesellschaft m.b.H.
Offers and prices provided in catalogues, notices, invoices, and other promotional materials or during negotiations (via e-mail, telephone, or fax) shall be guaranteed until we confirm the order (unless otherwise agreed with the client). After the receipt of the customer’s order (by confirming the proforma), we process the order and check the order details with the manufacturer until we receive the manufacturer’s confirmation within 2 business weeks. The most important moment in meeting the delivery deadlines is not a date of proforma confirmation, but the date when a manufacturer confirms the order (between this dates we allow a time frame of 2 weeks for order details checking).
§ 2 Prices – best price guaranty
We work directly with manufacturers of all our products being official sales agents for many years already.
EU countries: All inclusive. No surcharges apply. Product prices include 20% VAT.
Non-EU countries: Product prices are exclusive of Austrian VAT 20%.
§ 3 Lead time and Delivery
Lead times are provided individually for each inquiry and certain brand.
Standard lead time of new products does not include either official state holidays or common vacation period of the manufacturer’s country. As a rule, we dispatch our orders to the customer directly from a warehouse of the manufacturer, thus avoiding the additional storage and transporting costs, thus reducing delivery time for the products at your project.
As our company has more than a dozen years of successful experience in the field of setting design and construction projects in Europe, America, Australia etc, we managed to acquire the most reliable partners among carriers with extensive experience in deliveries of goods for renovation, construction and interior design. We have experience of delivery either of several tons of bulk cargo (marble, doors, building materials), or of fragile items and interior decor (chandeliers, statues like those made by Baccarat, bronze sculptures, decorative dining utensils, as well as various kinds of textiles).
Shipping costs are included into the total sum you pay by the proforma-invoice, but we highlight this cost in separate line, so that you could clearly see your expenses. If you wish, we can deliver the goods either directly to your product, i.e. “door-to-door”, or to any address that is convenient for you, or you can pick up the goods from our export warehouse in Germany. Shipping costs include: export customs documents arrangement, customs clearance and clearance fees for the goods.
§ 4 Return of goods
You should dully and carefully examine a box or packing for possible damages when receiving it from our forwarder.
Should products we shipped come with outer packing damaged, we shall replace them for new ones without additional costs for our clients, if we receive a damage act issued by the forwarder or our company’s representative.
Any purchaser’s claims concerning the obvious defects of the delivered goods will not be accepted, if the purchaser didn’t inform us of the revealed defect within 14 days upon the goods’ receipt.
In case the right of recall is exercised, the purchaser shall bear all return costs. When returning goods, SELECT Baubedarf und Handelsgesellschaft mbH shall not compensate the costs of customs clearance, import duties and taxes.
Returns and exchanges are not permitted, if the item has been used or altered from its original condition in any way (incl. removal of original packing, outer and inner damages, or the removal of manufacturer’s labels). In case of return of goods, we retain 20% (twenty percent) of the product’s price as a compensation, except for the returned goods. Custom made products are not subject to return.
