Table lamp with diffuser in glossy white blown glass, burnished rings, white base and cap.
General:Light source - E27 1x13W - LEDMax Watt - 150 WIP Rating - IP 40
Armilla, designed by Lorenzo Truant, takes inspiration from the first Renaissance representations of the motion of the stars and planets. At that time, man used to build jewel machines delimited by rings, called armillary, with the earth at the center, then with the passing of time and with the arrival of the Copernican theories, the sun, an unlimited source of light and the new center of the universe.
The circles of Armilla recall this custom, support the sphere and enhance the large mass of opal glass that diffuses the light of the light source placed at the center of the composition, just like the armillary spheres imagined by the Copernican cosmographers of heliocentric faith. In detail, the three precious metal rings, appropriately fixed together, contain the diffuser, which, thanks to a small ring fixed to the equator, attaches to the support cable also in metal.
The Armilla collection is available with a diameter of 36cm and in the pendant and table lamp versions. The diffuser is in glossy white glass, blown on a round mold, with the metal rings inserted and softly imprisoned by the molten glass at the end of the process. The rings are in burnished, gold and chrome finish. The electrification is at mains voltage for halogen, fluorescent and LED lamps.
