Tom Rossau TR7 (Pendant Lamp)

The TR7 was one of the first lamps that Tom Rossau developed, in his continued strive for sculptural illumination.
The slim shape of this lamp is ideal for corner placement, which has made it a true winner for architects and interior designers alike.

The closed shade of the TR7 encapsulates the light sources and provides an indirect light independent from the choice of the material. The TR7 lamps have a sculptural and organic expression, as much when unlit as when they radiate light.

Maintenance

Birch – Natural and Stained

Tom Rossau birch lamellas are either untreated or stained. The same maintenance procedure applies to both variants. We only recommend cleaning birch veneer lamps using a dry dust brush.

Birch is a living material and the wood will naturally change shape a bit over time. It is important that the material does not get in contact with water or moisture as this will soften the fibers of the wood and cause the veneer to bend. The colored birch stains when wet.

When you first receive your birch veneer lamp, the wood will appear bright and fresh. Over time, the birch gilds a little bit and gets a beautiful patina that highlights the wood veins. The stained models will be patinated in a slightly lighter tone.

Plastic (Polypropylene)

Tom Rossau lamps made of plastic lamellas are relatively rewarding in terms of cleaning. The optimal cleaning is done by using a dry dust brush, but it is also possible to use the vacuum cleaner on low suction on these lamps with the brush head mounted. If preferred, it is possible to clean the slats with a hard-wrung cloth as well. It is a very durable and flexible material, which will keep its white color over time.

PC/PE Non-woven

Tom Rossau lamps made of PC/PE non-woven lamellae are relatively rewarding in terms of cleaning. The optimal cleaning is done by using a dry dusting brush, but it is also possible to use the vacuum cleaner on a low suction on these lamps with the brush head mounted.

Do not clean with water or other liquids as the textured surface may dissolve.The material does not withstand water. It is a very durable and flexible material, which will keep its white color over time.
