About Island Lighting

About Italamp Island Lighting — Europe & Worldwide

Italamp island lighting blends Italian glass artistry with precise metalwork to illuminate kitchens, bars and social dining zones. Hand-finished in Italy, these linear and multi-pendant compositions pair sculpted glass or crystal with refined hardware and well-tuned optics—delivering comfortable, glare-controlled light and a quietly luxurious presence in residences, boutique hospitality and representative interiors across Europe and worldwide.

Craftsmanship & Materials

  • Mouth-blown glass and crystal in clear, smoked, opal or ribbed finishes; select models echo Murano techniques and prismatic detail.
  • Linear bars, canopies and collars in brass or plated metal (nickel, chrome, bronzed tones) with neat joints and protected surfaces.
  • Optional textile shades on certain heads to soften and warm the glow for evening service.
  • Hand assembly and levelling ensure true geometry, tidy cable management and long-term stability.

Design Language & Typologies

  • Single linear suspensions for clean, continuous task light over worktops and counters.
  • Evenly spaced pairs or trios of pendants for islands and breakfast bars where sight lines must stay open.
  • Compact multi-light clusters for square islands; wide multi-drop canopies for longer runs.
  • Transitional silhouettes with slim glass blades for contemporary schemes; softly moulded profiles for classic kitchens.

Light Quality, Lamping & Controls

  • Lamping by model: E14/E12, E27/E26, G9 or GU10; selected variants with integrated LED and high colour rendering (CRI ≳ 90).
  • Warm-white spectra (≈2700–3000 K) for dining ambience; neutral whites available on select LEDs for prep-led areas.
  • Opal liners and fabric linings reduce hotspots; ribbed/prismatic glass shapes beam spread across worktops.
  • Most designs dimmer-compatible; voltage options for EU/UK (220–240 V) and, where specified, North America (100–120 V).

Sizing & Placement Guidance

  • Mount ≈75–85 cm above a 90 cm table; ≈90–100 cm above 105–110 cm bar counters.
  • For trios, span ≈60–75% of island length; keep end pendants ≈15–25 cm in from edges.
  • Choose narrow heads near circulation routes; confirm canopy size for clean junction-box coverage.
  • Consider circuit zoning to separate prep, dining and ambient layers across the plan.

Applications in Projects

  • Luxury residences: kitchen islands, breakfast bars, sculleries and open-plan dining.
  • Hospitality: chef’s tables, cocktail bars, deli counters and private dining rooms.
  • Corporate & representative: show flats, embassy apartments and executive lounges.
  • Heritage or contemporary interiors where artisanal glass and metal elevate daily rituals.

Specifications, Finishes & Options

  • Glass palettes in clear, smoke, opal and tints; textile shades in neutrals or deep colours with optional trims.
  • Metal finishes coordinated to room hardware—brass, nickel, chrome or bronzed; bespoke patinas on request.
  • Supplied data: dimensions, drop range, canopy size, lamping charts and mounting notes for typical substrates.
