The quest for harmoniously combining shape and function has led to the creation of an enveloping backrest and comfortable seat. Astrea, with cushions that are free from the shell, is another important project by Joe Colombo, finished prior to Elda. The design vision is that of comfortable armchair, for outdoors, that “welcomes” with its fibreglass base.

Fiberglass structure, manually layered in one mould, with extraction of each single piece. The external structure is finished in black or white Gelcoat, and for metallic colours it is manually painted and oven cured. Independent cushions in polyurethane foam in different thicknesses covered in Dacron. Covers are completely removable. External frame colours: Glossy white, Glossy black. Metallic finishes: bronze, grey, blue. Do not expose the product to weather conditions or atmospheric agents, nor to heat sources over 40°C. Also products for outdoor use could be affected by atmospheric agents.
